The Great Indian Murder-Hotstar Original Series From fab to drab to drag,The Great Indian Murder is so inconsistant in it's story telling.Co produced by Ajay Devgan and directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia,it is based on the story Six Suspects by Vikas Swarup. Vicky Rai,an unscrupulous,ruthless son of a politician is shot dead at his own party and the CBI is called in to investigate,aided by the crime branch. Starting off with two crisp and intriguing episodes,it starts losing grip and direction from 3rd episode onwards and for a better part of the 9 episodes it remains that ways. The back stories of the characters and suspects to establish the motive are so lengthy,detailed and widespread that it blocks you out from the actual case and breaks the link.One literally forgets that it is a murder investigation going on and who got killed. Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui-2022 Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui might not be a masterpiece or great cinema.But it does deserve to be applauded for the subject it tackles and maintaining the entertainment quotient as well. The story is told in a light and breezy manner to reach accross more people for awareness and acceptance and relatability rather than being preachy. Some crass and cringeworthy dialogues(not the forced kind of abusive lingo though which we see in websries) do seem justified to showcase the mindsets and general mentality when it comes to speaking about or addressing transgender people. Ayushmaan Khurrana as the somewhat thick headed,iron pumping Punjabi Munda is completely natural in the part.His name has become synonymous with films dealing with unique subjects and this is another addition. Aranyak-Netflix Series As beautiful and fascinating as the jungles and hills are,many a times they hold sinister stories too. Aranyak traces the tracks of what looks like a serial killing which takes place in the hilly town of Sironha just when SHO Kasturi Dogra(Raveena Tandon) is about to go for a one year leave and is handing over the charge to replacement officer Angad Malik(Parambrata Chattopadhyay). Ultimately both end up investigating the case together. As they delve deeper they are astounded by the things which keep coming to the fore one after the other also hitting closer home entangling their families as well. Inside Edge 3 Keeping up with the consistency of the previous two seasons,Inside Edge 3 is as compelling and gripping as the earlier seasons showcasing the murky world of betting and fixing in cricket. Inspite of not really being too much into sports or watching much of cricket,this series has me completely hooked with the intriguing story and drama and some excellent performances. Some back stories of the main characters very interestingly move the narrative forward. While most of the characters carry forward from the previous seasons,there are some new entrants as well. Vivek Oberoi and Aamir Bashir at their crooked and viliest best in the tussle for power and revenge. Tanuj Virwani is the star of the show though,as the hot headed but "clean" skipper Vayu Raghavan.As usual Vayu played perfectly.
