Set in the bylanes of Jalandhar, Punjab,Tabbar is a dark and disturbing tale about a seemingly normal family of husband,wife and their two sons, who can go to any lengths to hide their dark secrets following a freak accidental killing.

Lies afte lries,crime after crime.And the sole purpose,to protect the family.

How far can one go? When do the lines get blurred and crossed over from a concern for family to desperate efforts to bury the wrong doings is narrated in an engrossing manner.

The deceit,the guilt pangs,the breakdowns so well portrayed.

Pavan Malhotra and Supriya Pathak are actors we have been watching and admiring since childhood and they are as dependable and as impactful even today!!

Pavan Malhotra is brilliant as Omkar Singh,the head of the family.The silent,cold blooded protector of his tabbar.

Supriya Pathak as his wife Sargun who slowly crumbles with the guilt is outstanding.The final breakdown following the last of crimes,a most unexpected killing,and the realisation of where they have reached and how they have fallen is so chilling and gives you goosebumps.

Paramveer Singh Cheema as the innocent and extremely likeable police man Lucky,the only positive character in the series is another impactful performance.

The series also features Ranvir Shorey,Gagan Arora,Sahil Mehta, Aakashdeep and others.

Not without it's flaws though,like hiding and moving the dead bodies and some of the killings are shown to be done very easily.

But Tabbar is a very interesting watch exoring the dark alleys of the mind.
