Speaking of The Family Man season 2,a little about season 1.
The first season started off on a bit shaky grounds for me initially for a couple of episodes.I felt a lot of things didn't seem well justified or well portrayed. But caught the interest as it progressed.Season 1 I feel was more of a build up where things were finding there footing.
Season 2 is a classic case of the 2nd season being much better and more interesting than the 1st one.

Intriguing from the word go,it leads you through gripping situations and fast paced action and narrative to the thrilling finale.
A gripping, well made espionage thriller is my kind of watch any day.Based on the plot of an attack threat by LTTE on the PM,the story focuses on the thrill quotient and the family affairs of the main protagonist TASC officer,Srikant Tiwari and thankfully steers clear of politics and agendas.
The ambush, attack and confrontation scenes are very thrilling and well picturised.

Besides the thrill and action there are so many situations, humour and characters, small nuances which add to the appeal.
And then there are the performances which are the high point.
Frankly speaking have never been a big Manoj Bajpayi fan.Found him too much of a method actor for my liking. The measured pauses and expressions don't really work for me.Liked him only in specific roles and films. The Family Man is added to that list, more for season 2.

Love Sharib Hashmi's effortless portrayal of JK Talpade, with more screen space this time around.
Priya Mani,I felt was sidelined this time around and her track with Sharad Kelkar seems like a filler which is left mid way each time.
An author backed role for Samantha Akkineni as the hardened to the core Raji, and she does a commendable job.The stoic deadpan expression throughout and the body language done to perfection.

Two characters which stand out for me though are Chellam Sir,played by Uday Mahesh bringing a smile each time he appears on screen in unique situations and his phone juggling. And then there's the impish son of Srikant,Atharv Tiwari played by Vedant Sinha with such elan and affability.

Chennai Police Officers Muthu Pandian and Umayal played by Ravindra Vijay and Devdarshini respectively, are two more of the delightful performances.
As for the PM,is it just me or did they actually try to put some nuances of Didi in Seema Biswas' Ms.Basu?
And then there's the ending which leaves a new thread for a new season to look forward to.
